“One day, you will wake
up and there won’t be
any more time to do the
things you’ve always wanted.”

~ Paulo Coelho ~

You are dying.
We all do. Your friends, your family, your colleagues, the people
you see on TV, the people you meet on the street. They are all dying.
It doesn’t matter if you have 30, 40, 50, or even more years to go,
these years are the last ones that you’re gonna have. Eventually
we will all be gone.

Life is a one time gift, a one time experience, all you have is this one life. In this life we have beautiful and special people, values, and experiences that we cherish and love. The things and people that we live for, the things and people that we want to become.

But sometimes in life we are getting distracted by things that are not contributing to us. It could be people or events that are negative for us, or challenges that come across our way. Challenges that we anticipated, and challenges that were a shock for us.

What is your choice?

“We are our choices.”

~ Jean-Paul Sartre ~

You are currently pursuing a purpose, you are on your own path.
You knew it won’t be a bed of roses, but you chose to dedicate your
life to this purpose.

Whether it’s having a beautiful family, having deep meaningful
relationships with people, building a successful business, becoming an artist, becoming an athlete, or changing the world for the better.

When times get tough, it’s easy to forget your choice and purpose and focus on the bad. But that is the exact time to remind yourself.

You made a choice. Why did you choose that choice?
You took a path. Why did you take that path?
There must be reasons. Not small reasons, meaningful ones. Your reasons. What inspires you about this purpose and path?
How good would if feel to get there?
Can you connect to those reasons?
Can you connect to those feelings?

Difficulties on the way

The difficulties you meet will resolve themselves as you advance. Proceed, and light will dawn, and shine with increasing clearness on your path.

~ Jim Rohn ~

You planned something, but it didn’t work out.
You trusted someone, but they failed you.
You thought that you’ll get it done by now, but you are
still struggling with it. You worked very hard, but you feel like you haven’t progressed at all.

You feel disappointed, overwhelmed, powerless,
shocked, stressed, and…it’s OK.
Difficulties are a part of your path. When you are feeling that
all that you want to do is quit, remember that you are not alone.
Every great man and woman in history, that ever did something
meaningful, have been there. It is natural to feel that way, you’re only human. But that is the exact time to remind yourself.

Hang in there

“It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.”

~ Jaboc, Lost ~

We only live once.
Life is a one time gift, a one time experience, all you have is this one life. Can you connect to the reasons why you chose your endeavor? Can you connect to the feelings that this choice is making you feel? These reasons and feelings are the essence of your life, the essence of who you are in this world.

These reasons and feelings are the things that you cherish and love, and they are what the people around you cherish and love in you. This endeavor, this choice, this path, are an expression of who you are, your sons and daughters, your creation in this world. They are an inseparable part of who you are.

When times are tough it’s easy to lose connection with who you are, and let the difficulties in your path to distract you. But when you are connected to the reasons and feelings of who you are and identifying with them, the difficulties become temporary thoughts, as they are not a part of who you are. Your endeavor, path, and choice, are.
